Chevron Shipping contract SRO Solutions to deploy IBM Maximo
SRO are pleased to announce it has been selected by Chevron Shipping to provide onboard Maximo commissioning services to their international tanker fleet. To satisfy the demands of this important client, SRO recruited several additional marine engineering resources who have now all undergone intensive Maximo training so as to be able to deliver end-user training to Chevron?s ship?s staff. The project is expected to continue through 2010 with all vessels live with Maximo by the end of the year.

SRO work with IBM to achieve Lloyds certification
IBM Maximo Asset Management has been type approved by Lloyd's Register following successful completion of the Software Conformity Assessment (GENPMS). SRO Solutions, an IBM business partner and specialists in the marine & offshore sector co-ordinated the process locally from their UK office on behalf of IBM in the US. This software conformity certificate indicates the software is approved for use onboard Lloyd's Register-classed vessels and is an impartial certification system based on assessment of software products against published criteria which involves inspection of requirements, design, testing, verification, configuration management and maintenance.
